Monika Misiec

M.A. Psychology, certified psychotherapist of the Polish Psychiatric Association english german

She studied in Warsaw and Vienna and received M.A. diplomas in psychology and English philology from the University of Warsaw. She graduated from a 4-year comprehensive course in psychotherapy consistent with the criterions of the European Association of Psychotherapy. She also received post-graduate diploma in clinical psychology from the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw and certificate of the specialization course in clinical psychology of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology.

She is a certified psychotherapist of the Polish Psychiatric Association and has over 10 years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. She has worked in several Warsaw hospitals and as an academic teacher. She works at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, where she is active in the fields of psychotherapy and scientific research. She is consultant psychologist at a chain of international preschools. Her professional activities also include lectures and workshops in psychology and psychotherapy for, among others, future certified psychotherapists and physicians specializing in psychiatry.

She provides:

- family and couple psychotherapy

- individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents aged 15 and over, especially for patients with eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder), affective disorders (depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder), anxiety, schizophrenia, emotional problems, personality disorders

- consultations for people in difficult and crisis life and family situations

- parental coaching

She is a member of Polish Psychiatric Association and Polish Psychological Association.

She works in Polish, English and German.
